Advance Sales on Book: Project Management PRAXIS

We kicked off our Chapter’s 20th Anniversary Dinner on June 20, 2018 with a presentation on the Logical Framework by one of our senior members Dr. Kenneth F. Smith, PMP.  Although not included in PMI’s PMBOK, the Logframe is a “Best Practice” of the international development community [i.e. World Bank Group, US Agency for International Development (USAID), Asian Development Bank (ADB), and others] to ensure alignment of planning, monitoring & evaluation of individual projects with their organizations strategic-level objectives.

Ken was one of the original team members to field-test & institutionalize the Logframe in USAID, and subsequently fostered its adoption & and adaptation in the World Bank and ADB.  Ken started his project management career in 1961 as a US Navy Management Intern.  After stints as a management analyst & systems specialist with the Navy Management Office (NMO) and the Department of Defense (DOD), he gained further world-wide experience on diverse USAID-assisted projects in many sectors as a project management advisor, manager, researcher-evaluator, and instructor.  After retiring from USAID in 1983, Ken continued a consulting career as an itinerant independent project management consultant and trainer.

Based on his many years of experience and ‘lessons learned’ in project planning, implementation and evaluation, Ken just completed writing Project Management PRAXIS as a ‘give-back’ to the project management community. PRAXIS is a compendium of practical innovations to classic tools and techniques to facilitate project management that Ken developed linking theory to practice.

Dr. Kenneth F. Smith, PMP is providing an exclusive offer to PMI Honolulu Hawaii Chapter members:  Advance sales of his new book “Project Management PRAXIS” $40.00 with FREE SHIPPING!

His book is also available on Amazon.com at $62.81

Limited quantities available at this time.  This offer ended August 25, 2018.
